Last updated 17 August 2026
These terms apply to all flooring supply and installation work carried out by Kersh Flooring, 14 Redbrow Hollow, Compstall, Stockport SK6 5GF. By accepting a quotation you agree to them.
Quotations
Quotations are valid for 30 days and are based on the measurements and site conditions known at the time. If the subfloor, room dimensions or scope of work differ once work begins, we will tell you before continuing and issue a revised price for your approval.
Deposits and payment
- A deposit of 30 per cent is payable to reserve your dates and order materials.
- The balance is due within seven days of completion.
- Made to order and bespoke materials are charged in full at the point of order.
- Late payment may incur statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts legislation for business customers.
Your responsibilities
- Clear the rooms of furniture and floor coverings unless we have agreed to do this and priced for it.
- Provide safe access, power and water for the duration of the work.
- Allow timber to acclimatise on site for the period we specify before installation.
- Tell us in writing of any underfloor heating, damp issues or hidden pipes and cables.
Timescales
Dates are estimates given in good faith. Delays caused by material supply, weather, damp subfloors or other trades on site are outside our control, and we will keep you informed and reschedule promptly.
Materials and natural variation
Timber is a natural product. Variation in grain, colour and tone between samples and delivered material is normal and is not a defect. Some movement, gapping and shading will occur with seasonal humidity.
Workmanship warranty
Our installation workmanship is guaranteed for five years from completion. The guarantee excludes damage from misuse, water ingress, unsuitable cleaning products, pets, heavy impact, unstable humidity, or work later altered by others. Manufacturer warranties on materials are passed to you and administered by the manufacturer.
Liability
We are insured for public liability. Our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the contract, except where liability cannot be limited by law, including death or personal injury caused by negligence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Your cancellation rights are set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
